"We have the drive inside of us"

Julian Nagelsmann, Alexander Sørloth, Willi Orban and Dani Olmo react to the 4-1 win over SV Werder Bremen.

Julian Nagelsmann:

  • "I'm particularly pleased with the first half. We scored some very nice goals and didn't allow anything at the back. The team really wanted the win. We're driven and you could see that today. Overall it was a good performance and therefore it's a deserved win We want to repeat that in the cup. We're very pleased with the three points.

There are still five points between us and FC Bayern, and everything is in their hands. We want to pick up all the available points that we can and we still have a lot of tough games ahead of us, as well as the cup. We'll try everything, give everything and see where we end up."

.

Alexander Sørloth:

  • "Both of my goals were set up really well. For the first one, Nkunku found me at the back post and I got made contact with my head. For the other one, Willi Orban played it perfectly between the defence and the goalkeeper and made it really easy for me.

Overall, we saw a lot of good attacks through to the end, which wasn't the case against FC Bayern. We have to focus on ourselves and on every game."

Dani Olmo:

  • "We are very happy to have got the three points. We had a very good first half - the second half wasn't quite as strong, but the most important thing in the end is the win.

We are especially happy for Alexander Sørloth. He has worked very hard recently and deserved his brace today."

Willi Orban:

  • "We deservedly took the lead and added to it quite quickly. After that it all went well. It was a good day for us and we're hoping that it carries on like that. We took motivation in showing that we also want to progress in the cup and that we're in a good way.

In the league, we want to get as many points as possible. We want to be in a good position should the opportunity arise. We have to do our own tasks and that's what we did today."
