Draw in Frankfurt! RBL continue without a victory away to SGE. The two sides score a goal apiece on Matchday 8 as they draw 1-1.
RB Leipzig were the side more in control during the first half and crafted out scoring chances, the biggest of which fell to Alexander Sörloth and Dani Olmo, but the game remained scoreless.
Shortly before the break, the home side took the lead. After some poor defending by RBL standards, Frankfurt's Aymen Barkok found himself free in the area and fired past Péter Gulácsi (43rd minute).
With a triple change at half time, Julian Nagelsmann looked to bring the attack - a plan which worked well! A perfect cross from Angelino was met by substitute Yussuf Poulsen who beat Frankfurt's Kevin Trapp to level the scores at 1-1 (57th minute). It was an elegant goal from Yussi - with the outside of the boot.
Towards the end of the game, it was a close fight with a lack of clear chances at either end. The final significant chance of the game fell to Leipzig. as Emil Forsberg's corner was met on the volly my a sliding Yussuf Poulsens. However Trapp was out to block well.
