2-0 win over VfB Stuttgart!

Bulls are rewarded for dominant performance in penulatimate home game of the season | Haidara (46’) and Forsberg (67’) get the better of Gregor Kobel | Konrad Laimer in squad for first time in 250 days

Back to winning ways! After two games without a win, RB Leipzig celebrated a deserved 2-0 win over VfB Stuttgart and consolidated second place in the league. The win sees the team edge ever closer to securing qualification for next season's UEFA Champions League. Just one point is needed to secure our place among Europe's elite for next season's tournament.

An early red card to Stuttgart’s Naouirou Ahamada (14’) saw Leipzig take control of the game, but the Bulls were unable to get past VfB goalkeeper Gregor Kobel.

Head coach Nagelsmann’s words at half time had the right effect, with Amadou Haidara heading into the back of the net just seconds after the restart (46'). Stuttgart could not deal with Leipzig's pressure after that. After a foul on substitute Emil Forsberg in the penalty area, referee Aytekin pointed to the spot. Our number 10 stepped up himself to double the lead to 2-0 (67'). A dominant performance and comfortable win takes us to eleven home league victories on the season.
