BVB come out on top in Saturday’s Topspiel. RB Leipzig suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund and record their first loss after a run of 8 games unbeaten.
The team delivered a solid first half in which they were the better side, however chances were hard to come by.
The second half was controlled by the away side over long stretches, and BVB took the lead through Jadon Sancho (55’) before an Erling Haaland double (71’, 84’). Alexander Sørloth scored a consolation goal in the 90th minute with the first Bundesliga goal of his career.
