Brian Brobbey joins RB Leipzig in summer 2021

The striker will join on 1 July 2021 on a free transfer from Dutch giants Ajax | Contract until 2025


Brian Brobbey will join RB Leipzig from Dutch record champions Ajax on 1 July 2021. The 19-year-old has signed a four-year deal until 2025.

His preferred position is as a centre forward, but he can be used anywhere across the attacking line. 

He made his Ajax debut on 31 October 2020 in the Eredivisie, coming on in a 5-2 win against Fortuna Sittard. He made an instant impact, scoring to put Ajax 3-1 ahead. Brobbey has also gained experience on a European level, featuring in both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

A product of the famous Ajax academy, he has also progressed through all the ranks of the Netherlands youth national team, where he has scored 26goals in 37 matches. He won the U17 European Championship in both 2018 and 2019.
