Konrad Laimer joins Common Goal

Laimer joins Nagelsmann and Olmo | 1% of his annual salary will be donated to charity

+++ Common Goal +++

 Konrad Laimer has become the latest player to pledge 1% of his salary to charity as part of the Common Goal project, joining our coach Julian Nagelsmann and midfield maestro Dani Olmo in giving back to the community.

KONRAD LAIMER:

"I immediately identified with the idea and the collective approach of Common Goal. The first priority now is to help young people who are increasingly affected by poverty and inequality of opportunity as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

I’m in a position where I can give back and I am still at the beginning of what I hope is a long career as a professional footballer. When I look back at the end of that career, I want to be proud of what I have achieved on and off the pitch. In challenging times like these, we need to be there for the people who're not doing as well as we are and who need our support. If I can also give disadvantaged children and young people a bit of courage and bring them a bit of happiness from visits to Common Goal projects, there would be no better feeling.”
