"I want to keep pushing myself!"

Not many things go together as well as Dani Olmo and RB Leipzig. With 12 assists to his name this season, the Spaniard has been an integral part of RBL's attack and played a huge part in taking the team to the DFB-Pokal final, where he and his teammates will be going for their first title in Leipzig.

Ahead of the final few games of the season, the 23-year-old is hungry for success.

 Dani Olmo on ...

... the current season:

  • "All in all, we've had a really good season, but it's not over yet. There are another two important games left in the league, and of course the big cup final.

No matter what happens now, we can be very pleased with ourselves. We had another good season in the Champions League, reached the knockout stages. In the league, we are currently playing our best ever season. I would say that we've improved a lot as a team and will keep making progress next season as well."

... personnel changes at the club:

  • "The lads and I aren't thinking about what will happen after the season. I can sense everyone's desire and commitment. We're all pumped for the DFB-Pokal final. Everyone is fully focused and ready to give everything we've got in these last few games.
I'll start thinking about next season after that. But changes are part of the game, so I'm not worrying."

 ...his personal development:

  • "I'm really happy with how things have gone this season. I can sense that I've become an important part of the team. My development here has also led to my national team call up - I'm incredibly proud of that! I am really happy in Leipzig and I am looking forward to more years here - I want to keep pushing myself!

I've always had big ambitions - my priority was to keep developing my game in Leipzig and fight for silverware.

Now we're in with a big chance of winning the club's first major trophy. The team is ready and focused. I am sure we can do it! I'm obviously pleased with how far we've come, but it's far from over."
