After returning an ambiguous result ahead of the game against FC Ausgburg, Amadou Haidara was removed from the matchday squad and has been isolating. The midfielder has now taken another Covid-19 test.
The new test returned a positive result. Therefore, the player has stopped his preventative isolation and begun official quarantine. Every other player in the RB Leipzig squad was tested ahead of the Champions League home game against Basaksehir Istanbul, resulting in no positive cases.
Sporting director Markus Krösche: "We're in constant contact with Amadou Haidara, he's doing well considering the circumstances and is symptom free. He is receiving all the support that he needs from us and we are expecting him back as soon as possible. We wish him a speedy recovery."
