10 Bulls called up for EURO 2020

EURO 2020 to kick off on 11th June | 10 players from seven nations called up | Round up of all the RBL involvements in this summer's EURO and EURO U21 tournaments

EURO 2020 is around the corner! Marcel Halstenberg, Lukas Klostermann, Dani Olmo, Yussuf Poulsen, Marcel Sabitzer, Konrad Laimer, Emil Forsberg, Péter Gulácsi, Willi Orban and Josko Gvardiol are the 10 RB Leipzig players that have been called up by their respective countries for the tournament. Justin Kluivert and Josep Martinez will represent their national teams at the U21 European Championship.

Dominik Szoboszlai will not take part in EURO 2020 despite being originally named in Hungary's squad. The midfielder isn't fit enough yet to take part in the tournament after his long injury break.

Euro U21 in Hungary and Slovenia

On Monday, 31st May, the knockout round of the UEFA U21 European Championship got underway. The Netherlands, France, Denmark, Germany, defending champions Spain, Croatia, Portugal and Italy all qualified for the quarterfinals. 

Germany defeated Portugal (1-0) in the final in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana.

Quarter-finals:

Spain U21 2–1 Croatia U21 (AET)
Croatia's Joško Gvardiol played the whole game, including extra time. His future RBL teammate Josep Martínez was an unused substitute for Spain.

Justin Kluivert played the whole game, assisting the winning goal in the final minutes as Netherlands booked their place in the semi-final. Dayot Upamecano had given France the lead in the first half.
