A fair result! Leipzig drew 1-1 against VfL Wolfsburg on a sunny day at Cottaweg. In an even game, Julian Nagelsmann's side couldn't convert their chances in the first half. Wolfsburg also struggled to force Péter Gulácsi into action, with the two sides going into the break goalless.
Nagelsmann made ten changes to the side for the second half, which saw the team play at a higher tempo. Marcel Sabitzer (46') and Emil Forsberg (58') had good chances to open the scoring. Wolfsburg, however, took the lead in the 70th minute after Julian Justvan was fouled in the penalty area. Renato Steffen converted for the Wolves. Less then 120 seconds later, the Bulls had a penalty themselves and Patrik Schick equalised from the spot.
