Julian Nagelsmann:
- "A draw would probably have been a fair result. We didn't win the ball back as much as we'd planned to. It wasn't easy to build pressure against Frankfurt. We weren't confident enough on the ball and were too open.
We had actually expected Eintracht to play more long balls, which they didn't! It was lucky win that's pleasing for us. Last week's win over Union was a lot better to watch."
Timo Werner:
- "I'm happy to have signed a new deal and to have scored, but the win was the most important thing. We fought hard for it today!
The game was as tough as we'd expected. We started well against a strong opponent. It's been a great start."
Lukas Klostermann:
- "I think we played especially well in the first half and deservedly went ahead. We should have scored a second goal earlier though. The late goal made things tight at the end as well, but we saw the game out well. Two games, six points - that's a perfect start!"
Ibrahima Konaté:
- "It was a difficult, but nice game. We are second in the Bundesliga and in the next round of the DFB-Pokal, so the first three games have gone really well."
