"I am looking forward to a great afternoon of football and a fantastic atmosphere!"

Head coach Julian Nagelsmann speaks ahead of our first home game of the season against Eintracht Frankfurt | Kevin Kampl, Ibrahima Konaté, Diego Demme and Willi Orban return from injury

Finally back home! After last weekend's away victory, RBL welcome Eintracht Frankfurt to the Red Bull Arena on Sunday (kick-off: 15:30 CEST) for our first home game of the season.

Our head coach Julian Nagelsmann discussed the upcoming league game, as well as our squad availability in today's press conference.

Coach Julian Nagelsmann:

  • "Of course, it's good for us that Eintracht Franfurt played on Thursday evening. On the other hand, they're used to this kind of busy schedule from their Europa League campaign last season. It's down to us to raise the intensity on Sunday and make Frankfurt work.

Marcel Sabitzer has a specific role that he carries out well defensively and offensively. He is very good in front of goal and wants to increase his goal tally. He's an important player for the whole club. The guys and I hope that he continues his form in the coming weeks.

I am delighted that the home section is sold out for Sunday and we'll be playing in an almost full stadium. Eintracht will also bring a lot of fans. I am looking forward to a great afternoon of football in packed stadium."

Team news:

  • Kevin Kampl, Ibrahima Konaté, Diego Demme and Willi Orban have been training as normal recently and will most likely be available for selection on Sunday.

  • Jean-Kévin Augustin (ankle), Tyler Adams (muscle problems) and Dayot Upamecano (ankle) have been ruled out.
