"We want to continue our positive record against Gladbach!"

Head coach Julian Nagelsmann speaks ahead of the away game at Borussia Mönchengladbach | Dayot Upamecano and Jean-Kévin are still unavailable | Tyler Adams and Hannes Wolf are also out injured

More points! RBL travel to Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday (kick-off: 20:30 CEST) and will be hoping to add three more points to their Bundesliga total.
Our head coach Julian Nagelsmann speaks to the press about the upcoming match and team news.

Coach Julian Nagelsmann:

  • "Marco and I have not met before but I think very highly of him. The way he coached Slazburg was extraordinary. You can also see how he has brought his style of play to Borussia. I do not think I will be very surprised by how they play on Friday.

"We have now won our first three competitive matches and have clearly progressed since pre-season, though we are not yet at 100%. Nevertheless, we want to build on our positive record against Gladbach. Of course, the idea is to play with a defensive midfielder because Marco Rose values agressive use of possession. Our opponents have also made the most tackles in the Bundesliga so far this season."

Team news:

  • Dayot Upamecano and Jean-Kévin Augustin returned to team training on Tuesday afternoon, but will not be match fit for Friday.
  • Tyler Adams (muscle problems) and Hannes Wolf (fractured ankle) are still unavailable.
