RBL on fire in the DFB-Pokal! The Bulls beat a previously unbeaten VfL Wolfsburg team 6-1 in the second round of the DFB-Pokal and make it through to the round of 16.
Leipzig took an early lead in front of 3,300 travelling fans when Jeffrey Bruma failed to get out of the way of a rebound and scored an unfortunate own goal (14'). The first half was a scrappy affair with few chances at either end and the score remained 1-0 until the break.
After half-time, the Bulls scored four goals in 13 minutes: Marcel Sabitzer (55'), Emil Forsberg (58'), Konrad Laimer (61') and Timo Werner (68') all found the back of the net in quick succession. Timo then added his second of the night to make it 6-0 (88'), before Wout Weghorst grabbed a consolation goal for the hosts at the death.
