Another win for the Bulls! The deserved 3-1 victory over TSG 1899 Hoffenheim at home makes it five in-a-row in the league.
It only took eleven minutes for the first goal to go in. Patrik Schick set up Timo Werner to slot home from close range. The next passage of play saw chances go begging at both ends. Hoffenheim almost equalised but Dennis Geiger was denied by the post (40').
The Bulls scored again shortly after the break and, again, it was Timo Werner's goal. This time he converted from the penalty spot after being fouled inside the area (52'). That was his 15th league goal in 14 games! Nagelsmann's men continued to control the game and put it beyond doubt in the closing phases when Marcel Sabitzer tidied up a rebound to make it 3-0 (83'). Hoffenheim's late goal through Ermin Bicakcic was nothing more than a consolation (89').
Hannes Wolf came on towards the end of the match to make his long-waited RB Leipzig debut after five months of injury.
