The day's top fixture goes to BVB! The Bulls fall to a 2-0 home defeat against Borussia Dortmund, which sees them secure second place for the season. Leverkusen's 2-0 defeat away at Hertha means that Leipzig are virtually qualified for next season's Champions League due to their vastly superior goal difference. There would need to be a goal difference swing of 27 for Leipzig to drop out of the top four.
The Bulls started well enough and threatened through Patrik Schick (8'). But BVB grew into the game quickly and started to dominate possession of the football. Dortmund were on top and made their pressure tell. Erling Haaland opened the scoring after a smart assist from Gio Reyna (30').
Leipzig were much improved after the break and pinned Dortmund back in their own half for large swathes of the second period. But chances were few and far between, even though the Bulls through themselves forward. Erling Haaland grabbed his and Dortmund's second at the death - Leipzig lose 2-0.
