Thrilling 0-0 draw away at FC Bayern

1st vs. 2nd ends goalless in Munich | Big chances for both sides go begging | Bayern on top in first half, RBL more dangerous after the break | Leipzig still just one point behind the leaders

It finished 0-0 in the Bundesliga's top of the table clash on Sunday. After a nervy first half, Die Roten Bullen were much improved after the break and more than deserved to claim a point away to league leaders FC Bayern München.

Julian Nagelsmann opted to play both of his January signings Dani Olmo and Angelino from the start, but it was a difficult first half for Leipzig, with Dayot Upamecano & Co. having to be at their best to stop Bayern from putting the ball in the back of the net.

The second half painted a very different picture. Marcel Sabitzer fired over the top with a golden chance very soon after the restart and RBL looked a lot more dangerous throughout. Timo Werner had the best opportunitiy of the match, but he failed to test Manuel Neuer with his first-time finish. Péter Gulácsi still had to be at his very best to keep out Leon Goretzka towards the end, however, to ensure Die Roten Bullen left Munich with a valuable point.
