Assistant coach Robert Klauß (35) has left the club to join 1. FC Nürnberg. He will become head coach of the Bundesliga 2 side.

Robert Klauß picked up a lot of expierence at a high level during his at RBL Leipzig and develop immensely. It's therefore no surprise to us that other clubs were interested in him. He can now take the next step in his career with this move to Nürnberg. We were happy to give him this chance and wish Robert all this best.

Sporting director Markus Krösche

I'm really thankful that RB Leipzig have given me the chance to move to 1. FC Nürnberg. I would like to stress that I am leaving Leipzig on good terms, I made a lot of friendships here and the club will always have a place in my heart. I had a great time here and I was able to witness the club's rise in 11 years from different roles. I'm now looking forward to my new challenge and I can't wait to see everyone again in the DFB-Pokal match in September.
