"An even game"

Julian Nagelsmann and Lukas Klostermann spoke in the press conference ahead of the second leg against Spurs | Positive team news!

Mission: Champions League quarter final! When: Tuesday 21:00 CET. How: The Red Bulls are set up nicely for the second leg after winning 1-0 in London a few weeks ago. Julian Nagelsmann's side are looking to make history in a sold-out RB Arena.

The head coach was joined by Lukas Klostermann as they faced the journalists ahead of tomorrow's game.

Julian Nagelsmann on...

...Spurs' injuries:

  • "They're still a good team with lots of great players. They're strong on the counter and have a clear game plan. It's important that we play as well as we did in the first leg London. But we're focused on tomorrow's game, not the last game."

...motivation:

  • "We have a really good chance of making it to the quarter final of the Champions League. Any player who comes up against Tottenham in the round of 16 of the Champions League and doesn't give it their all, isn't cut out for it."

...the battle with mourinho:

  • "Mourinho against Nagelsmann: That's not an even battle. But I don't want to think about that. I want to focus on my team. And Tottenham Hotspur against RB Leipzig is definitely an even game."

Lukas Klostermann on...

...his expectations for the game:

  • "We know that Tottenham are a very dangerous team, especially in transition. But we played really well in the first leg so I'm confident that we'll do the same tomorrow."
