First game, first win - RBL triumph 4-0 in Berlin

RBL start the Bundesliga season with a win against Union Berlin | Marcel Halstenberg (16'), Marcel Sabitzer (31'), Timo Werner (41') and Christopher Nkunku (69') all get on the scoresheet

Opening victory! RBL comfortably beat 1. FC Union Berlin (4-0) away from home in a sensational first game of the Bundesliga season.

After a quiet first quarter of an hour, Marcel Halstenberg scored the opener. Finding himself completely unmarked on the left-hand side of the penalty area, he curled the ball into the top corner. Following Lukas Klostermann's disallowed goal via VAR, Marcel Sabitzer (31') and Timo Werner (41') gave us a commanding 3-0 half-time lead.

In the second half, Union Berlin played better and put us under more pressure. Nevertheless, Christopher Nkunku marked his Bundesliga debut with a goal (69') shortly after coming on and made it 4-0 at full time.
