Draw at home! The Bulls shared the spoils with Leverkusen in a 1-1 draw in front of 41,216 spectators.
As expected, the game developed into an evenly matched contest between two good sides, although Leverkusen were the more dangerous of the two teams going forward. Leon Bailey fired the guests in front after he finshed off a nice move down the right flank (29'). Just three minutes later, Patrik Schick latched onto Christopher Nkunku's free-kick delivery to bring Leipzig level (32').
Just after half time, Nkunku had a massive chance to put the Bulls ahead, but Leverkusen stopper Lukas Hradecky was on hand to deny the Frenchman (47'). The remainder of the game was a little flat, and finished 1-1.
