"Happy with the point!"

Julian Nagelsmann, goalscorer Patrik Schick and Lukas Klostermann after the draw against Leverkusen.

Julian Nagelsmann:

  • "We've got to be happy with the point. Of course, we'd have liked to win, but we wouldn't have deserved that. We were all over the place from the start and looked tired. At the end of the day, we lacked that killer instinct, which would've spurred us on.

Our performance today wasn't on the same level as the games against Bayern, Spurs and Schalke. Playing like we did today isn't enough for a top game. But we'll keep at it until matchday 34 and give it our all!"

Patrik Schick:

  • "It was important that we equalised so quickly. It was a really tactical game and Leverkusen were really strong, as we expected. After the break, we were in control, but we jsut weren't clinical enough in the final third."

Lukas Klostermann:

  •  "A draw is the right result. We lacked a bit of aggression, and we need to reflect on this. We were better in the second half. It was a really intense game and both teams had a good go, without risking too much."
