200 games! Diego Demme made his first competitive appearance for RB Leipzig on 25th Januray 2014 against Wacker Burghausen in the third division. We are now into our fourth season in the Bundesliga and are playing in the UEFA Champions League for the second time.
Our midfield engine made his 200th competitive appearance for the team against Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Saturday. He is the second Leipzig player, after Yussuf Poulsen, to reach this milestone.
We spoke to Diego about his most memorable matches in a Leipzig shirt.
I can honestly say, at first, I had no idea that I was making my 200th appearance against Leverkusen. It's a fantastic milestone to reach and I am obviously very proud to become RBL's second player to reach it.
Diego Demme has been at the club since 2014 and has progressed from playing in the third division to playing in the Champions League. In his 200th match he showed, once again, how important he is to the team - he made the most passes, won the most tackles and covered an incredible amount of groud.
There have been a lot of highlights for me: my first Champions League match, the game against Karlsruhe that got us promoted to the Bundesliga and, of course, my goal against Freiburg.
The Bulls secured promotion to the Bundesliga on 8th May 2016, beating KSC 2-0 at home. Diego Demme played the whole game in the centre of midfield.
On 15th April 2017, Diego scored his first and so far only goal for RBL. It was a headed goal scored in injury time against SC Freiburg following an assist from Timo Werner. He broke a tooth in the process!
I don't have such fond memories of my first game for RB Leipzig. It was against Burghausen. It was -10 degrees and we lost 1-0. Not an ideal start!
Demme made his RB Leipzig debut on 25th January 2014 and suffered a 1-0 defeat in the freezing cold against Wacker Burghausen. It was not a dream start for Diego, who played the full 90 minutes.
The most intense time for me was during the battle for promotion to the second division. We were neck and neck with SV Darmstadt 98 and then beat them when we played each other, which put us on the path to promotion.
Second-placed Leipzig beat third-placed Darmstadt 1-0 on 19th April 2014. Promotion was then secured on 3rd May with a 5-1 victory against Saarbrücken.
The 5-4 game against FC Bayern was the best game for the spectators in the Red Bull Arena, even though we lost in the end. Our first Bundesliga victory against Dortmund was equally special. I don't think the stadium has ever been as loud as when we scored the winner. It stayed with us for the whole season.
RBL lost 5-4 to FC Bayern on 13th May 2017. Timo Werner put the Bulls 4-2 ahead in the 65th minute but Bayern mounted a late comeback. Alaba's equaliser and Robben's winner came in quick succession in stoppage time.
RBL's first Bundesliga victory was on 10th September 2016 against BVB. Naby Keita scored in the 89th minute to secure the win and raise the roof of the Red Bull Arena.
Our first Champions League match was an incredible experience. I always watched the Champions League when I was a kid - it's an unbelievable feeling when you're out on the pitch yourself and you hear the hymn. I had goosebumps!
RBL got their first Champions League point in a home game against AS Monaco that ended 1-1. Diego played the full 90 minutes.
