A trip to Hoffenheim: Our top assister Christopher Nkunku spoke ahead of the game in Sinsheim about the fight for Champions League qualification and his personal goals for the final few weeks of the season. The Frenchman set up Marcel Sabitzer's goal in the 3-1 win in the return fixture earlier this season and he'll be looking to do the same under the lights on Friday night.
Christo, how is the preparation going ahead of the trip to Hoffenheim?
We always work on our game before every opponent and try to make ourselves even stronger. We want to go to Hoffenheim on Friday with confidence and take home all three points. From now on we can't make any more mistakes in our fight for the Champions League places.
How are you dealing with your competition in the fight for Champions League qualification?
We're in a tight battle for the Champions League places with Gladbach, Leverkusen and Dortmund. Nevertheless, we're just trying to focus on ourselves and not pay any attention to the others. If we give it our all in every match and get back to playing how we can, we have a great chance of qualifying for the Champions League again.
As our top assister, do you have a few more assists up your sleeve?
I haven't set myself a specific target. I always try to play my role out on the pitch and create chances as best as I can. I work hard every day to do this better and better. If I manage to play my role well over the next few weeks then more goals and assists will follow. I always want to create chances and be a threat. More assists will come from me, but that's not what I'm focusing on.
