A review of the year! 2019 is coming to a close and we want to look back on what was a very successful year for us. The Red Bulls celebrated numerous sporting victories, as a team as well as individually. 

We will look at the various statistics from 2019 to analyse our fantastic performances this year.

We played 19 games in total at the Red Bull Arena, winning nine, drawing seven and losing three. That equates to 31 points at home, with 35 goals for and 16 against.
Strong away form! 26 games on the road picked up an impressi e 19 wins, scoring 67 goals in the process! 42 points away from home makes us the strongest away team in 2019.


Leipzig rose to the top of the table on ten occasions: five times in the Bundesliga and Champions League apiece.
We scored our record number of goals against VfL Wolfsburg in 2019. We picked up three wins and one draw in four games against them, scoring ten and conceding just two.
Our biggest win of the year is also the Bundesliga's highest ever victory. The Red Bulls soared to a 8-0 victory over FSV Mainz 05 on Bundesliga Matchday 10!
We picked up another record with our biggest away win of the year! The 6-1 win at VfL Wolfsburg was our biggest ever DFB Pokal victory.
2-1 was our most common result of the year, achieving this scoreline in six of our matches. 3-1 and 1-1 both happened on four occasions. However these were all wins!

Player stats:

2019 was his year! Timo Werner racked up 29 goals and 14 assists in just 40 games. The striker has been in scintillating form this season, sitting in second in the top scorer charts with 18 goals in 16 matches.
Marcel Sabitzer is also having a fantastic season! The Austrian is an integral part of Leipzig's syste. 13 goals and nine assists in 42 games makes an impressive return for the attacker, including his memorable strike against Zenit St. Peterburg in the Champions League.
He has came back from injury as important as ever. Dayot Upamecano is a brick wall in defence, winning an impressive 67% of his takles. He also kept a tidy disciplinary record with just three yellow cards in 21 matches.
Péter Gulácsi aka "Péte the Wall" has also had a successful 2019. Our number one appeared in 41 matches across the year, conceding just 40 goals. He managed to notch up 15 clean sheets in the process!

The top stats from this season:

Timo Werner is our top scorer with 18 goals and has also racked up the highest number of direct goal involvements with 23! However, Timo dominantes in more than just goal scoring. He has been substituted seven times; joint-highest with Emil Forserg. He has also set the highest top speed of 34.97 km/h. The speed demon also leads the way in terms of offsides, having been flagged on 19 occasions.

New signing Christopher Nkunku tops two categories of his own. Only Matheus Cunha has been subbed on as many timrs as Christo (7) and no one has asisted more goals than the Frenchman (6).
Of course, Marcel Sabitzer has also excelled statistically. The Austrian has been in top form this season, whipping in the highest number of crosses in the team.

Midfield duo Konrad Laimer and Diego Demme have also made their mark this season. Konny has given away the most fouls (32), but has also made the most tackles (396).

Our part-time eSPORTs player Diego is not just active on the console, but has also covered the highest amount of ground per 90 minutes (12.60 km) and has also had the highest number of touches (1191). A key player, both on and off the pitch! 

Dayot Upamecano is our most successful tackler, with a success rate of 67%. His defensive partner Ibrahima Konaté has the highest pass completion rate in the team, with an impressive 94.6%!

No Leipzig player has been fouled as many times as Yussuf Poulsen (21).
Marcelo Saracchi has made the most sprints per 90 minutes (35).
