The next match on the European stage! On Thursday (18:55 CEST), Die Roten Bullen travel to Norwegian record champions Rosenborg BK with the aim of getting their first points in the competition.
Before the game, coach Ralf Rangnick and striker Yussuf Poulsen expressed their opinions on the upcoming European outing.
Ralf Rangnick:
- "Our opponents have a Dutch coach in the dugout, so it’s only logical that they are technically strong. Rosenborg will want to find solutions by keeping the ball on the ground, not only in their build-up play but also in attack. We have to be stable at the back and spin a tight web. That will help us win the ball back and create good chances to break.
Both teams lost their first Europa League game, with us losing ours at home. It is therefore important to continue our good run of form from the Bundesliga and get the three points tomorrow. It would be good to go into our league game against Nürnberg on the weekend off the back of another win."
Yussuf poulsen:
-
"We know that we lost the first game to Salzburg, so it’s all the more important that we get three points here in Norway. After the good results in the Bundesliga, we have a lot more self-confidence.
Rosenborg played well against Celtic and only just lost. The team has a lot of quality so the game will be a big challenge for us."
