Wolfsburg 1-0 RB Leipzig

Leipzig's 10 game unbeaten run comes to an end | Jerome Roussillon scores the only goal of the game for the hosts | Diego Demme hits the post just seconds before Wolfsburg score | 1,900 RBL fans travel to Wolfsburg

RBL's 10-game undefeated streak came to an end on Saturday afternoon as they were beaten 1-0 away at Wolfsburg. Die Roten Bullen's defence were finally beaten after a run of five league clean sheets in a row. Kevin Kampl, Marcel Sabitzer and Dayot Upamecano all missed out due to injury.

In an energy-rich first half, both teams had good chances to take the lead, but neither side was able to put themselves ahead. Directly after the break, both sides hit the post just seconds apart from each other, with Diego Demme striking the woodwork for RBL. Wolfsburg capitalised on the manic start to the second half, as Jerome Roussillon poked the ball into an empty net after an initial shot was saved by Péter Gulácsi. It was the first Bundesliga goal Die Roten Bullen had conceded for 499 minutes.

Towards the end of the match, RBL tried their hardest to find an equaliser. However, the hosts stood strong in defence, meaning Die Roten Bullen will head home empty handed - their second defeat of the season in 12 games.

RB Leipzig will look to return to winning ways on Thursday, when they face Salzburg in the Europa League.

Unfortunately, it was defeat for Die Roten Bullen at the full-time whistle.
