Die Roten Bullen put in a brilliant performance against 1. FC Nürnberg in front of 37.389 spectators in the Red Bull Arena to win 6-0 and climb to second in the Bundesliga table.
The first 45 minutes were extremely entertaining and saw RBL score four times. Kevin Kampl netted just four minutes into his one hundreth Bundesliga appearance, and just three minutes later Yussuf Poulsen made it 2-0. Marcel Sabitzer and Timo Werner scoredto help build an unassailable lead for Die Roten Bullen, making it 4-0 at the break.
RBL did not let up at half time, with Sabitzer and Werner getting on the score sheet again to make it six. Werner missed out on a hat-trick when his penalty was saved in the 64th minute, while Willi Orban went close when his header clattered against the crossbar. These missed chances took nothing away from a brilliant win for RBL however, in what turned out to be the perfect matchday.
3rd minute, 1-0: Die Roten Bullen make the dream start as Kevin Kampl finds space in the middle to smash a shot into the top right corner, his first goal of the season.
7th minute, 2-0: Yussuf Poulsen continues his brilliant start to the season as he converts Werner's cross from a very narrow angle.
A great attacking display from RBL, with little to deal with at the back. Péter Gulácsi was troubled only once, having to play as a sweeper to deny Ishak from going through on goal.
