RBL's 10-game undefeated streak came to an end this evening, as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to Celtic in Glasgow.
The 2,200 travelling RBL fans watched on amongst the 60,000 strong crowd as Celtic took the lead early on through Kieran Tierney. In the pouring rain in Glasgow, Celtic were on top both offensively and defensively in the first half.
Big chances were few and far between for Die Roten Bullen, until Jean-Kévin Augustin capitalised on a perfect cross from Konrad Laimer to equalise in the second half. However, it took just 65 seconds for the hosts to respond, when Odsonne Edouard tapped in to restore Celtic's lead. RBL kept fighting until the very end, with Kevin Kampl having two very good chances to get a late equaliser, one of which hit the crossbar. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be for the visitors, as they fell to an away defeat.
Celtic are now equal on six points with RB Leipzig in Group B, but Die Roten Bullen retain second place due to a superior head-to-head record.
