"Keeping it tight at the back is the key"

Ralf Rangnick, Péter Gulácsi, Timo Werner and birthday boy Willi Orban give their thoughts on the 3-0 away win vs. Hertha BSC

RAlf Rangnick:

  • "We were the best team for 75 minutes, but we failed to kill the game off in the first half. We can only thank Péter Gulácsi that Hertha didn't equalise.

Keeping it tight at the back is the key to our game. All the lads work hard off the ball, and really enjoy keeping a clean sheet."

Péter gulácsi:

  • "We were clearly the better team in the second half, so we earned our win today. The whole team has deserved to keep 6 clean sheets in a row, because we've played so well when we don't have the ball. I really enjoy watching the boys play from back between the sticks."

Timo Werner:

  • "We played brilliantly, and I'm pleased to have helped the team win. Of course I'm slightly annoyed that I had chances but didn't put them away - I could have scored more.

We were solid in defence and really good in attack. We've shown what kind of football we stand for and how we want to play it. Let's keep this going."

  • "I've never played a match on my birthday before. It's been a lovely day - birthdays don't get much better than this. A massive thank you to the fans who travelled to come see us and supported us brilliantly.
