"We deserved something for our second half display"

Coach Ralf Rangnick, Marcel Halstenberg, Marcel Sabitzer and Kevin Kampl give their reaction after the 2-1 defeat in Glasgow.

Ralf rangnick:

  • "We had a good second half and worked hard enough to earn a 1-1 draw. But then we were careless in defence. If you get an equaliser and then have the psychological advantage, you can't concede again so quickly like that.

In the end, we deserved something for our second half display. Now, we'll probably have to win our remaining two games to progress to the further stages of the competition."

Marcel Halstenberg:

  • "We were a step behind too often today and made too many misplaced passes. Perhaps the atmosphere got to one or two of us as well. Now we've got to move on - on Sunday we're back in Bundesliga action against Leverkusen."

 Kevin kampl:

  • "It's hard on us that we didn't even get a point. We made it 1-1 and immediately went behind again - we just made it far too easy for Celtic. At the end, I could have scored an equaliser when I had the chance to smash it in twice. It's a great shame that my efforts didn't go in."

Marcel Sabitzer:

  • "Today's defeat was avoidable and unnecessary. We just weren't clinical enough up front. When you concede just seconds after scoring, then that's extremely unfortunate."
