"We did almost everything right today"

Reaction from Ralf Rangnick, Willi Orban, Marcel Halstenberg and Diego Demme after the 3-0 away win in Hannover

Die Roten Bullen beat Hannover 3-0 on Friday, and there was plenty of reaction after the game. You can find the match report here.

Ralf rangnick:

  • "We did almost everything right today and were especially strong defensively. We've built on our great showing against Düsseldorf, particularly on our play off the ball.

We're pleased that we've played twice away now, and barely given our opposition a chance to score. We want to carry this on now in our next few games. Willi Orban is a model example as a player, and I'm delighted for him."

Willi Orban celebrates his second goal of the game.

Willi Orban:

  • "It was a well-deserved win! We showed the necessary degree of patience and scored at the right times. We can be very pleased. Scoring two goals feels incredible. The corners from Halste and Emil were perfect, and our set-pieces today worked really well."

Marcel Halstenberg:

  • "It was of course a nice game for me today, against my former club. I told Yussi (Poulsen) yesterday that I wanted to take the penalty if we got one. It was special to play against Hannover. We prepared ourselves ahead of the game by working on becoming more dangerous from set-pieces - and I think that worked well for us today."

Diego Demme:

  • "We played brilliantly the whole game, especially off the ball, and kept the clean sheet. We created a lot of chances up front and all in all had a good game. I'm pleased that we've now won two away matches in a row."
