It was a real battle in Frankfurt, but Die Roten Bullen fought hard to come back and draw 1-1 with Eintracht in the final game of matchday 4 in the Bundesliga.
Both sides took a little time to find their feet in the game. When the first decent chance did arrive after 25 minutes though, Eintracht Frankfurt were clinical with it. Sebastien Haller's header was saved by Péter Gulácsi, but Gelson Fernandes swept home the rebound. RB Leipzig were unable to get Timo Werner and Yussuf Poulsen into the game and had our Hungarian keeper to thank that it was only 1-0 at the break in the Commerzbank-Arena.
Die Roten Bullen came out after the interval looking much improved and that was soon rewarded. Filip Kostic blocked a dangerous cross with his hand and the referee immediately pointed to the penalty spot. Emil Forsberg took on the responsibility and coolly fired down the middle to level the scores on 54 minutes. The goal spurred Ralf Rangnick's boys on, but despite a golden chance for Timo Werner, they were unable to snatch a winner and the spoils were shared.
