"The team wanted to deliver a response, and we did!"

We gathered the thoughts from Ralf Rangnick, Marcel Sabitzer, Péter Gulácsi and Emil Forsberg after Sunday's draw in Frankfurt

RAlf Rangnick:

  • "We struggled in the first half, but started to control things more after the break. Despite some big chances for us, I think a draw is a fair result.

The team wanted to a deliver a response, and we did that. We can now start preparing for the Stuttgart game with a full squad at our disposal."

Marcel Sabitzer

  • "If we can follow that second-half display up with three points against Stuttgart on Wednesday, then we can be satisfied."

Péter Gulácsi:

  • "Frankfurt were the better team in the first half, but we were on top more in the second 45. A point each is a fair result.

That good second half needs to be happening over 90 minutes. We have another chance to make that happen on Wednesday already."

Emil Forsberg:

  • "It was a close-fought match with both teams showing strength and desire. We can live with a 1-1 draw.

We showed courage in the second 45 and played with more purpose going forward. If we can get our attack firing, we're very dangerous."
