Ralf rangnick:

  • "Our off-the-ball play was really good again today. We only let Wolfsburg have one clear chance, which Péter Gulácsi saved brilliantly. You could only criticise us for not putting the game to bed earlier.

Hats off to the lads, especially for all their brilliant and tireless work they did off the ball. I'm delighted that we've reached the DFB-Pokal quarter finals for the first time in our history."

Marcel Halstenberg:

  • "It was a deserved win - we just missed out on that second goal. Still, I think we gave the fans an excellent display. We were solid in defence, and kept another clean sheet. We're very happy to be in the quarters. My 100th game couldn't have gone better!"

Konrad Laimer:

  • "We made it a bit too tense and put our fans on edge at the end. Still, we're through and extremely pleased. I don't mind who we play next - the main thing is that we get a home draw, because we're a real force in our own stadium in front of home support."
Matheus Cunha celebrates his match-winning goal.

Matheus Cunha:

  • "I'm very happy that my goal won us the game today. We played well, but we just needed to score a goal or two more. Lukas Klostermann played a perfect ball to me to score - it's a lovely feeling to have scored such an important goal."
