RB Leipzig beat Wolfsberg 1-0 in friendly win

Willi Orban scores in the 40th minute | Tyler Adams makes his starting XI debut | Numerous substitutions in the second half

The visitors from Austria started the game at a high tempo and looked dangerous in the first half. As the first half progressed, however, Die Roten Bullen grew into the game and began to dominate. New signing Tyler Adams kept on making forays into the opposition penalty area, but unfortunately the final pass was just missing.

Wolfsberg went closest to scoring in the 19th minute, when they hit the post after a quick counter attack. But it was RBL who eventually took the lead - Niclas Stierlin's corner being nodded in by captain Willi Orban five minutes before half time.

Both teams made numerous changes in the second half, meaning the tempo of the game was slightly broken up. Jean-Kévin Augustin had the best chance of the second half when he went through on goal, but his effort was saved. RBL held on to take a deserved win and a clean sheet.
