Willi Orban earns Hungary call-up

RBL captain has been called up for the first time for international matches against Greece und Estonia | The defender is now a teammate of Péter Gulácsi for both club and country | Orban was only involved for Germany up to U21s level

Die Roten Bullen now have another international on their books, with captain Willi Orban receiving his first Hungary call-up, meaning he could make his first international appearance for Hungary this upcoming international break.

Willi was born in 1992 in Kaiserslautern, where he progressed through the ranks at 1. FC Kaiserslautern to make his Bundesliga debut. As his father is Hungarian, Willi has both a German and a Hungarian passport. After making appearances for Germany only up to U21 level, he now has the opportunity to represent Hungary at senior level.

Hungary play Greece on Friday the 12th, before facing Estonia just three days later in the Nations League this international break. Péter Gulácsi has also been called up for the squad.

Willi made it 1-0 against Stuttgart last Wednesday...
...making it his ninth goal in a RBL shirt.
