Having beaten Rosenborg 3-1 in October, RB Leipzig will play Norwegian champions Rosenborg on Thursday (21:00 CET), in the last round of Europa League group stage matches.
Ahead of the game, coach Ralf Rangnick and captain Willi Orban both gave their thoughts in front of the assembled media.
Ralf Rangnick:
- "We are going to play our twelfth European game of the season. I will pick the strongest possible team in Trondheim and we all really want to win the game. We have taken every game so far very seriously and will continue to do so tomorrow. We will play similarly to how we played in the first leg. I am convinced that the lads will show what we have talked about on the pitch."
Willi Orban:
- "We have put the Freiburg game behind us. We have analysed our mistakes and are now fully focused on the last group stage game of the Europa League. We are convinved that we can win the game and we are looking forward to it. We are also looking forward to playing two midweek matches before the Winter break.
We feel that we have good momentum when playing at home right now, so I think that the fans will see a good game under the floodlights."
