Robert Klauß is staying with Die Roten Bullen. The club has extended the assistant coach’s contract for a further two years, meaning the 34-year-olds' deal will now expire in 2021.
Klauß has been with the club since its foundation. In the club’s first year in the 2009/10 season, the former striker played for Die Roten Bullen in the Oberliga, and went on to coach the youth team in 2010/11. Between 2014 and 2016, Klauß coached the U17 team, the second team in 2016/17 and the U18s in 2017/18.
The 2018/19 season saw Klauß return to the first team, acting as assistant coach to Ralf Rangnick. In the coming season, Klauß will remain in the same role under new coach Julian Nagelsmann.
In 2018, the 34 year old gained his coaching license and was the best performer on the course.
