"Three more important points on our way to the Champions League!"

Ralf Rangnick, Marcel Sabitzer and Emil Forsberg speak after the 4-2 away win in Leverkusen

Ralf rangnick:

  • "We didn't play well in the first half, and can be happy that we were only 2-1 down. We didn't have a grip on the game. We then changed to a 3-5-2 and brought on two fresh faces, and we showed what we're really made of.

We dominated the second half, showing our strengths and revealing Leverkusen's weaknesses. At the end of the day, we didn't win undeservedly. It's a big victory for us!"

Marcel Sabitzer scored a glorious free-kick to make it 1-1.

Marcel Sabitzer:

  • "We switched it up in the second half and had a much better hold on the game. We've had to come back and win twice in the three games we've played this week. We're three more important points on our way to the Champions League!"

Emil Forsberg:

  • "It was fantastic to be back out there with the lads today. We laboured in the first half. But we got better, becoming more dangerous and aggressive on the ball, and making better tackles. Winning feels really good. Our mentality must be the right one, and we showed it off today."
