"We're unbelievably proud to be in the final!"

Ralf Rangnick, Yussuf Poulsen, Emil Forsberg, Konrad Laimer and Willi Orban react to Tuesday's 3-1 DFB-Pokal win over HSV

Ralf rangnick:

  • "This win is brilliant for all of us - for the players, for the fans and for Leipzig as a whole. We can be very proud of what we've achieved in just our third year of Bundesliga football. We now have the chance in the final to win the Pokal and of course that's now what we want to do.

Two things have been decisive. Our new arrivals have brought a whole new level of quality with them, and players like Timo Werner and Emil Forsberg have hit top form again. It means that the team is always improving."

Yussuf Poulsen:

  • "We're unbelievably proud to be in the final. I've been at this club for a long time and have been allowed to be a part of this special journey. What's nicer is that we'll now get to experience a special match in Berlin. It will be special for us all - the players, the club and the fans."

Emil Forsberg:

  • "The win is very special for us and I'm very proud of the team. Being in the DFB-Pokal final is indescribable and something that I've always dreamed of. Of course, we want to win the final. I'm over the moon!"

Konrad Laimer:

  • "We had a lot of chances at the start and could have put the game to bed early on. Hamburg then came back into the game through an individual error. We had everything back under control in the second half though. All in all, we deserved to win and everyone can be proud of us."

Willi Orban:

  • "We had to be more clinical in the first half. We prepared a lot for today's game and on balance deserved to progress to the final. Now we want to win the cup of course. We showed our strong mentality yet again today and are hungry for success."
