"We won't let the Champions League slip away now!"

Ralf Rangnick, Marcel Halstenberg and Kevin Kampl share their thoughts following the 2-1 away win at Gladbach

Ralf rangnick:

  • "Hats off to the team for the attitude they showed today. We won't let the Champions League slip away now!

We came out very strong in the second half and made it 2-0 as a result. Unfortunately, Gladbach pulled one back fairly quickly, but our boys pulled through brilliantly."

MARCEL HALSTENBERG:

  • "A very important win – three points against direct rivals in the league. We’re very close to the Champions League now. We are determined to go toe-to-toe with Europe’s best!

I knew I would put the penalty in the corner and for the second, Emil #Forsberg set me up perfectly. My gut was feeling a bit empty, so in the 47th minute I asked the bench if I could get half a banana. It's funny that it came during my goal celebration!"

KEVIN KAMPL:

  • "I'm extremely proud of the whole team. We've continued our great away form and taken a big step towards Champions League football."
