RB Leipzig and Galatasaray draw 1-1

RBL drew their first game of the year in a friendly against Galatasaray, in front of a crowd of 11,120.

The game started at a high tempo, with RBL looking to make the most of their chances. Timo Werner had two early chances but failed to capitalise.

The game remained at a stalemate until the 34th minute, when Lukas Klostermann capitalised on a defensive error to put through Yussuf Poulsen, who couldn't miss. The score was 1-0 as both teams went in for the half-time break.

Coach Ralf Rangnick made changes at half time, including a debut for new signing Tyler Adams.

RBL continued to create chances after the interval, but it was the visitors who scored, with Martin Linnes scoring on the counter to make it 1-1.

There was further abd news when Bruma went down in a bad tackle from Selcuk Inan, and was forced off the pitch. The Portuguese winger will undergo a medical diagnosis to evaluate the seriousness of the injury.

The final result was 1-1, a fair result in an intense and well-matched game.

Yussuf Poulsen put RBL in the lead after 34 minutes.
New arrival Tyler Adams made his debut against the record Turkish champions.
