Ahead of the second half of the Bundesliga season, which begins at home to Borussia Dortmund, Die Roten Bullen will host record Turkish champions Galatasaray on Saturday (15.00 CET).

Galatasaray's first half of the season:
League: Galatasaray have secured 29 points from their opening 17 matches of the Turkish Süper Lig season. The Istanbul club are currently 5th in the table and have suffered four defeats. Fatih Terim's side have won eight matches and drawn five.
At this point in the previous season, the record Turkish champions had secured 35 points and were second in the table. Galatasaray went on to secure their 21st Süper Lig title.
UEFA Champions League: The Istanbul club have been eliminated from this season's Champions League as they finished third in Group D. Galatasaray drop into the UEFA Europa League at the Round of 32 and will face Benfica.
Turkish Cup: Galatasaray have reached the quarters finals of the Turkish Cup, a competition they have won on 17 previous occasions. The Istanbul club are also record cup champions and last won the competition in 2016.
Most successful Turkish Player and Coach:
Fatih Terim played for Adana Demispor in his playing career before moving to Galatasaray in 1974, spending eleven years in Istanbul. He won the Turkish Cup three times and the Turkish Super Cup once.
After retiring as a player, Terim began his long coaching career. Since 1997, Terim has won the Turkish Süper Lig seven times with Galatasaray and won the UEFA Europa League in 2000. Terim was also coach of the Turkish national team for Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland, where Turkey reached the semi-finals.
- Eren Derdiyok is Fatih Terim's top goalscorer so far this season. The Swiss international has scored 26 goals and provided six assists in his 84 appearances for the club. Derdiyok is also no stranger to the Bundesliga, scoring 35 goals in 138 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen.
- Henry Onyekuru signed for the club on loan from Everton last summer and has scored six goals in 20 appearances so far this season. Onyekuru will return to England at the end of the season.
- Fernando Muslera is the most experienced player in the Galatasaray team. The Uruguayan goalkeeper, who made his international debut in 2009, has made 305 appearances since joining in 2011.
