"It was a very intense match with lots of chances. Both team gave everything. We had problems in the first 20 minutes as we weren't quite at it mentally from the off. Going 1-0 up helped us a lot. It menat Köln had to attack more which gave us the space to get a second goal.
However, the game would have been much easier if we hadn't have let Köln in so easily for their goal. Köln are a good side and we're very, very happy to have won here. To have 13 points from our opening games is more than I'd have hoped for. I'm very proud of my team!"
"You have to work hard for every win. We always give our best and try to win. Today, we were rewarded for our efforts with a win in a very tough match. Though we didn't always have full control over the game, we worked our socks off and deserved the win."
"The game was tense right until the final whistle. We kept a clean sheet for a long time but we didn't defend well enough overall. For me, we deserved to win as we had the better chances. In the second half, we were more solid at the back but still didn't do enough for the Köln goal. We're in fourth place and that's fine."
"As a defender, I haven't scored too many goals. It was a great feeling but what's most important is to win. It was important that we scored when we did as the longer it stays 0-0, the harder the game gets.
"We're still not quite happy with how we did off the ball but we won the game. The Köln goal was a silly one to concede and we have to be more relaxed when we have the lead to ensure we get the wins we need."
"Actually, I should have scored three goals but we lacked a bit of decisiveness. I'm glad to have got on the scoresheet. Köln played well and made it hard for us. It was important to win after the loss in Istanbul. We kept going and didn't let the points slip away from us."
"We needed the win today for the whole team as we worked really hard and deserved to score twice. The win is important for our confidence in this tiring streak of matches."
