It should be a fiery encounter with the Fohlenelf! Borussia Mönchengladbach play host in the fixture to see on matchday 4 on Saturday, 16th September (18:30 CEST kick-off) at a rapidly sold-out Red Bull Arena.
Our head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl shared his thoughts with the press on the opposition and the current personnel situation ahead of the match.
"It is important that we quickly switch back to the Bundesliga after our performance in the Champions League. There is no set amount of players than you have to rotate. We monitor exactly how the guys are getting on and how they are feeling. We need to find the right balance in the next few weeks regarding who we select so that we do not lose the chemistry in the team, but also remain fresh enough.
"Borussia Mönchengladbach are one of the best teams in the Bundesliga. Even though they are without several players due to injury, they still have enough quality in their squad to cause us a lot of problems. The team works extremely hard. But we are very strong at home and it is always our aim to beat every opponent. With our fans behind us, we want to control the tempo and keep all three points in Leipzig.
"With Naby Keïta, I will decide at the last minute whether he is in the squad or not. If he is not fit, we will not risk it. Other than him all the players have recovered from the Monaco match well and are ready to go. Marvin Compper is also back after overcoming his cold."
- Whether or not Naby Keïta is included in the squad to face Gladbach (adductor problems) will be decided at the last minute.
- Marvin Compper has recovered from a cold and is back in training.
- Marco Fritz will be the referee for this match.
