"We pushed hard but Augsburg defended really well"

The post-match reaction from Ralph Hasenhüttl, Willi Orban, Yvon Mvogo and Diego Demme after the 1-0 loss in Augsburg

Ralph Hasenhüttl:

"It was really hard for us. We had to fight against a wall of eleven players and they made it hard for us. We threw everything at them but we weren't clinical and quick enough to get in behind Augsburg's defence. So we have to live with the result and move on."

Willi Orban:

"We were asleep in the opening stages of the game and conceded the goal. We need to be more committed in tackles.

As the game went on, we fought really hard but we didn't create enough clear chances. We panicked too much on several occasions. Our points tally so far isn't ideal but we can't let our heads go down and we have to learn from our mistakes. ”

Yvon Mvogo:

"On the one hand I was really happy, since it was my Bundesliga debut today. But on the other hand I was obviously very disappointed about the result.

We put our all into trying to score a goal but Augsburg sat very deep and didn't allow us much space. Also the fact we conceded a goal so early in the game was unfortunate. We need to move on from the defeat and improve for the next game."

Diego Demme:

"We conceded really early and then Augsburg parked the bus. We tried lots of different tactics to create goalscoring chances. We had a few shots from range but we couldn't create more concrete opportunities. I don't think it is to do with our match fitness. We put Augsburg under pressure but it was really difficult to break down their defence."
