Ralph Hasenhüttl ahead of Zenit clash: "It will come down to who scores goals!"

Ralph Hasenhüttl and Diego Demme look ahead to the last 16 UEL return leg against Zenit | Kevin Kampl and Konrad Laimer in contention again | Dayot Upamecano fit again | Marcel Sabitzer injured

Expedition Europa heads to Russia! On Thursday (19:00 CET) Die Roten Bullen face Zenit St. Petersburg in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League last 16 tie. Following the 2-1 home win, Leipzig head to the Krestowski-Stadion with high hopes of reaching the quarter-final.

Head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl and midfielder Diego Demme discussed the upcoming fixture on Thursday evening.

Ralph Hasenhüttl:

"We’ll experience a fantastic atmosphere on Thursday evening. It will be the latest highlight in our club’s history and we will do everything we can to get a positive result.
“Zenit will be a lot more confident than they were last week in front an over 50,000 strong home crowd. It’s not easy to put this team under pressure. But it will come down to whoever scores the  goals. We won’t sit back, we’ll be aggressive – and in an ideal world score the first goal."

Diego Demme:

“The stadium is very imposing. But we have already gained a lot of experience like that this season – it’s nothing that will unsettle us.
Zenit are a good team that will play well in their own backyard. We will try to control the game, like we did in the first leg. We’re ready."
