A draw for RB Leipzig in our 50th Bundesliga match. Die Roten Bullen came from behind to draw 1-1 with VfL Wolfsburg.
1,400 RBL fans were among the 22,827 specators in Wolfsburg, as Ralph Hasenhüttl's side flew out of the blocks with an attacking, aggressive game plan. But it would be the hosts who opened the scoring when Paul Verhaegh slotted home from the penalty spot.
Leipzig continued their attacking exploits in the second half and eventually leveled thanks to Marecl Halstenberg's first Bundesliga goal (53'). But Wolfsburg took control of the game in the final half hour, in the end having the better chances to win the match. A sensational double save from Péter Gulacsi in injury time ensured Leipzig take a point home, just moments after Dayot Upamecano was dismissed for a second bookable offence.
