Ralph Hasenhüttl: "We need to stop making mistakes!"

Ralph Hasenhüttl, Péter Gulácsi, Diego Demme and Emil Forsberg give their thoughts on the 5-2 defeat at home to TSG Hoffenheim

 Ralph Hasenhüttl:

  • "Congratulatuions to TSG on a well-deserved away win. Our formation today was an attempt to set us up for winning back possession and taking the game to the opposition. The problem was that we didn't score early on - it could have been a very different story if we had.

On the whole, we made too many mistakes that led straight to goals. After the sending off it was pretty much game over. We have to stop making mistakes in the next game, otherwise we can't compete up there."

 Péter Gulácsi:

  • "We didn't take our chances and Hoffenheim punished us for that today. After the red card the game was beyond reach for us. Our fans were fantastic, they supported us until the very end, even after going behind. We're currently going through a difficult phase, but we'll give everything in our last three games."

 Diego Demme:

  • "It was a bad day - we had chances to take the lead but didn't take them, then we gifted them the first two goals. It may sound like a cliché, but we need to shrug off the defeat - we've got three games to go and we'll give everything in them, not least for our fans!"

Emil Forsberg:

  • "The result and the red card are very disappointing. I caught the opposing player with my arm while I was running, but the referee could actually have blown his whistle earlier because I was being held so much. I'm particularly sorry for our fans - they don't deserve a defeat like that. We can only thank them for their tremendous support."
